About Us Education Express offers one-on-one tutoring and music instruction in our large, friendly classrooms or your home. We also offer on-line classes. We offer tutoring in all elementary, middle, and high school subjects. Also, we provide tutoring to college and other adult students. Additionally, we prepare students for standardized tests including the GED, SAT, ACT, and High School Exit Exam. Your Success is our Success! Our Mission is to help students succeed in school by giving them the personal and individualized attention they need. Education Express is a family-owned business. We want our students to do well. It is a reflection on us. We often go the "extra mile" for our students. First, we utilize only the best and most well-qualified tutors. Most of our tutors have teaching credentials and/or advanced degrees and professional experience in the subjects that they tutor. Then, we tailor our approach to each individual. This is something that a classroom teacher cannot do. Today's classrooms are crowded and noisy--hardly the optimal learning environment. Our classroom is quiet and our sessions are one-on-one. This translates into real learning. We can teach the student concepts, skills, and techniques they may have missed in the traditional classroom. The Owners Education Express is owned and operated by Brigitte and David Issel. Brigitte Issel is the Director of Education Express Tutoring and Music Instruction, Inc. She also serves the community as a member of the board of directors for New Morning Youth and Family Services. Brigitte holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Political Science from Pepperdine University, a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California (USC), and a Juris Doctorate (law degree) from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. David Issel is the Technology Director of Education Express Tutoring and Music Instruction, Inc. He enjoys maintaining our web site and on-line classroom and teaching computer programming classes. He also works full-time for Intel Corporation as a software engineer. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from National University and is working toward his Master's Degree in Database Administration.
